Glow Personal Training is run by Deborah who offers one-to-one fitness training from a professionally equipped gym in the Surrey Hills. Deborah is motivated by a desire to pass on her enthusiasm and training skills to help you towards your fitness goals in a safe, friendly space.

The glow gym

Set within Deborah’s garden, the glow gym is an oasis of tranquility where you can exercise in a hygienic, private space. On warm days, there is air-conditioning, or you can train with the doors open to the garden.

Boost your fitness with professional cardio machines, a cross trainer and spin bike. There is also a wide range of strength and resistance equipment including a twin-cable functional trainer, a half-weight rack and a full range of free weights and kettle bells.  

 
Train with the doors open to the garden, inline with government COVID-19 guidance on the advantages of exercising in outside spaces where possible.
 
Before training, Deborah will conduct a detailed assessment to determine you goals and capabilities

I have been completing weekly training sessions with Deborah for a little over 6 months now and have felt the benefits not just in terms of strength and flexibility but also better energy and stamina levels.

As an overweight 60+ year old I was looking for someone to guide me on a targeted program to improve strength/bone density as well as improve muscle tone and overall health. Deborah has been fantastic – each session is designed to push me a little further than the last using her well-equipped and lovely gym space.

The variety of exercises and equipment used has meant that no two sessions are the same and Deborah’s encouragement and motivational style really spurs me on. Turning 70 at the beginning of this year and coming after two years of little physical activity, long Covid and a weight gain, was a wakeup call. Traditional gyms really didn’t work for me, what I felt I needed was a program geared for me and most importantly some form of motivation.

The first session with Deborah, we discussed my aims, what were attainable goals and a realistic plan to achieve them. Six months in and those goals are being achieved, it does require some hard work and commitment, but Deborah’s friendly motivational skills, support and encouragement have made it possible.  

I feel much fitter, sleep better, and everyday tasks are easier, which all adds up to improved wellbeing and a greater enjoyment of life.

The gym is exactly as you would expect, modern with a state-of-the-art full range of equipment, air conditioned and set in Deborah’s tranquil garden, all of which makes training easier and enjoyable. I look forward to the training sessions, a thing I have not done in the past.

  • I have been training with Deborah once a week for the last 6 months – and she offers a wonderful, bespoke service. I had not exercised for quite a few years and was rather apprehensive – but Deborah was very careful in gradually increasing the exercise intensity and weights each week to ensure a great sense of achievement – in the first few months it helped me to lose 10 kilos!   • I just had my first session with Deborah at glow. I will be back for more! Firstly, we talked about my health and physical issues (being over-60 I do have a few). We then discussed my fitness goals, before going to her fabulous, state-of-the-art, air-conditioned gym for the training session. Deborah took me though a warm-up, before moving on to a variety of exercises using her extensive, brand-new equipment. I really enjoyed it – the session seemed to go so fast and before I knew it, we were doing the cool-down stretches. Deborah has a lovely manner and comes across as motivational, caring and knowledgeable.

    The gym has a beautiful view of the garden and feels very tranquil – the setting is unbeatable, particularly if you are looking for privacy but without having to sacrifice the range of machines and equipment that you could find at a ‘regular gym’. I am already looking forward to my next session.
